Folli Follie Spring Summer 15 Campaign

When Folli Follie suggested we shoot their SS 15 campaign here, I thought it would be a treat to shoot at home as I have been travelling so much of late with work. The brief was to shoot their celebrity ambassador Mollie King, of the band The Saturdays, as well as 3 beautiful bloggers: Rosie Fortescue, Sarah Mikaela of Framboise Fashion and Doina Ciobanu of The Golden Diamonds on location in London.

As a photographer, I like beautiful bright light, especially when shooting Spring Summer, which can be quite hard to come by in the land notoriously known for its grey days. April (which is when we shot this) had been incredibly warm and the papers were shouting ‘early summer!’, so I felt good… that is until I woke up on the morning of the shoot. It was like the whole sky had opened up. Black clouds filled the sky and were so low, you felt like you could touch them… oh and it was raining. Because there were about 25 people on the shoot and Mollie was only available on that day, we had to make it work. That’s the thing about working on big jobs, no matter what, you have to make it work.

Thankfully I had my wonderful assistants who followed the models and myself all day with umbrellas, lots of lights to give that warm appearance and amazing models who battled through freezing temperatures and lots of rain – somehow we made it work. We even managed to clear Westminster Bridge in rush hour for our hero shot with Doina, Rosie and Sarah!

All in all, it was a success and London, I still love you. x
