For some people it’s bags, for others it’s shoes… for me it is blazers.

I’m always on the hunt for the ultimate blazer, the kind that you can throw over literally anything and you instantly look the business. It is actually harder than you think to find something like this, as you are essentially leaning on the blazer to elevate your jeans and t-shirt look, or downplay your delicious little dress to make it appropriate for the day.

Well my friends, I can now say I finally found it – because this blazer is everything.  I first saw Stella McCartney’s ‘Milly’ blazer at the Pre-Fall ’17 presentation and fell in love – the Prince of Wales check style is beautifully tailored from a wool-blend, which is really a testament to her experience on Saville Row. It is impeciably made, meaning  you can throw it into your suitcase and it comes out hold it’s shape perfectly.

I have worn this blazer literally everywhere.  From dinners and parties to photo shoots and school runs – it really goes with almost every outfit, making it my ultimate travel companion.  When I was in NY, I threw it over a slinky little dress and this outfit carried me from 9am in the morning for shows and meetings, right through to late into the evening.  Not many outfits can do that.    It is designed as a men’s style blazer, so I like to edge my  sleeves up to offset its slightly boxy shape and this perfectly offsets the sexiness of a little black dress.

Then on a photo shoot in Paris, where I was running around the streets for a week, on the ground, bending over in precarious positions and can you believe it still after all that, looks like I just unwrapped it from the shop.

This is certainly the best investment piece I have purchased in a long time if for no other reason than I have not taken it off since acquiring it!  Although if you are looking at cost per wear, then it is a no-brainer – this is a forever piece that requires literally no effort, as it goes with everything.
