My collection CANDIDATE by Candice Lake was influenced by the street style trends I was shooting around the world; with the aim to make these incredible trends – seen on editors, models and bloggers around the world – accessible.
Each day this week, I will be posting campaign images from the collection I shot in London, with street style images showing you “how to wear the trend” – taking inspiration from some of my favourite street style girls I have shot all over the world that have greatly influenced this collection, including Olivia Palermo, Elin Kling, Karlie Kloss, Hanne Gaby, Poppy Delevingne, Giovanna Battaglia and Elena Perminova.
Below is the ‘Floral Dress (with neon accents)’ and ‘White Collared Shirt’ trends. Check back in tomorrow for more trends from CANDIDATE. xx

I am so excited to announce that I have designed my first solo range – CANDIDATE by Candice Lake.
I wanted to create a collection with that was influenced by the street style trends I was shooting around the world; and make these incredible trends – seen on editors, models and bloggers around the world – accessible. It’s been a wonderful experience designing a collection that was greatly inspired by – and created for – the women I see and photograph all over the world.
What also inspires me is when a girl pushes and experiments with new trends whilst always staying true to her own style. This combination mixed in with a lot of confidence is mesmerising and this is what really drove my debut solo collection, as well as elements from my favourite cities. The collection is polished, although it has a sense of ease and fun that I think really represents Australian style and the girls I see and photograph on the streets that so inspire me.
Made up of pieces that can be worn individually or styled back together to create a complete look, CANDIDATE includes a reversible bomber jacket, pencil skirt, 60s inspired mini dress, crop top, boyfriend shirts, vegan leather petal skirt and pants, flippy shorts, photo print jumper and tee, felt fedora and a logo cap in a range of exclusive prints including digital floral and leopard with neon highlights.
The collection is stocked in General Pants right across Australia and can be purchased online Internationally here.
Each day, over the next 7 days, I will be posting a campaign image from the collection I shot in London, with street style images showing you “how to wear the trend”… taking inspiration from some of my favourite street style girls I have shot all over the world that have greatly influenced this collection, including Olivia Palermo, ELin Kling, Karlie Kloss, Hanne Gaby, Poppy Delevingne, Giovanna Battaglia and Elena Perminova.
I hope you like CANDIDATE and please let me know what pieces/ trends are your favourite!!

When the team at Monica Vinader contacted me to be the face of their Winter 2013 campaign, I literally jumped at the chance. What girl doesn’t want the chance to spend the day dripping in diamonds and beautiful jewels?! I love Monica’s jewelery and have been giving her colorful gold friendship bracelets to my friends as gifts for years. It makes me feel close to them when I wear mine, as we all live on opposites of the world… now I have something to gift myself this Christmas.
Take a look at the shoot and campaign film below. I have also attached some images from the incredibly chic launch party that was hosted by the divine Caroline Issa who was a vision in Red!
